A few weeks ago I was driving on the motorway towards Bonn. Just before the Europe bridge in Koblenz the road was blocked, so I had to continue my journey to the right side of the Rhine. This fact soon proved to be a lucky change. Along the entire route I saw many wild woad plants in full bloom.

Just the week previously a co-worker had first informed me of this phenomenon.
